“Bobby’s Freedom Run” Plaque Dedication Ceremony
Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is deeply honored to announce the plaque dedication ceremony for “Bobby’s Freedom Run” on Friday, January 19th, at 9:30 am, at the top of the run. The new plaque—a tribute to a remarkable individual whose journey began on the slopes of Dodge Ridge. Bobby Rapp, a cherished member of our race team during his youth at Dodge Ridge, went on to pursue a distinguished career in the military as an adult.
Â
His dedication, bravery, and commitment to service left an incredible mark on those who knew him. Tragically, Bobby passed away, leaving a void that is now filled with memories of his passion for skiing and his unwavering dedication to his country. In recognition of his contributions, we have dedicated a run in his name—a run that stands as a testament to his love for the slopes and his commitment to our freedom.
Â
We are especially honored that Bobby Rapp’s family will be in attendance at this heartfelt ceremony. Their presence adds a deeply personal touch to the event, emphasizing the shared sense of community and support within the Dodge Ridge family.
Â
As we gather at the top of Bobby’s Freedom Run, we reflect on the intertwining of his love for skiing and his commitment to serving others. The plaque dedication serves as a touching reminder of the impact one individual can have, bridging the worlds of mountain sports and military service.
Â
Join us on this special morning as we celebrate the life of Bobby, his legacy, and the enduring connection between Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort, its community, and those who have dedicated their lives to service. Together, we honor Bobby’s memory and the lasting impression he has left on our slopes.
