Collision Safety
Collision Safety & Information Exchange
Collisions between skiers, snowboarders, or other mountain users are among the most preventable hazards on the mountain. The National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) outlines key actions to help reduce collision risk:
- Be ready at all times to slow or stop.
- Stay alert to your surroundings and other guests.
- Plan ahead for terrain changes, blind spots, traffic flow, and trail merging areas.
If a Collision Occurs
We ask every guest to follow these steps for the responsible and safe handling of collisions or incidents:
- Stop immediately in a safe place, out of traffic, visible from above, and assist any injured parties if you are able.
- Exchange names, contact information, and any pertinent equipment details with the other party if applicable.
- Notify resort personnel.
- Provide a clear description of where the incident happened (lift, run name, time) and any conditions of note (crowding, visibility, terrain).
Follow any directions given by resort staff or patrol for incident documentation, witness statements, or follow-up.
