Teams Program (DASH+DEVO)
The objectives of this program are to build athletes that are passionate about the mountains, are positive ambassadors of Dodge Ridge and are committed to developing a life-long love of snowsports. This will be accomplished through Cooperative Coaching, terrain-based learning, safety (demonstrating Skier + Rider Responsibility Code), and fun. They will benefit from small coach-to-athlete ratios and the friendly competition of fellow team members. The teams will explore a variety of terrain including off-piste and ungroomed conditions.
The first day of the program, January 6th will be an evaluation day. Athletes will be placed based on their skill level, at the coaches discretion. Athletes may end up on a different team that they signed up for originally.

Dodge Ridge Freeride
Dodge Ridge Freeride provides the opportunity for youth and teens to take their skiing and snowboarding to the next level, designed for those that are naturally progressing past the advanced stage. Dodge Ridge Freeride provides freeride-focused training and opportunities for young athletes ages 8 to 17 to improve technique, learn new skills and compete in Big Mountain events. Not to be confused with freestyle, slopestyle and park events, these competitions take place on advanced natural terrain at various ski resorts throughout the Lake Tahoe region. Competition is not a requirement to be on this team, however we celebrate, encourage, and offer coaching to athletes who desire to compete. The Freeride team allows your child to ski and ride with like-minded young athletes to be challenged and supported in a community environment with qualified coaches. Training is held on weekends and holidays throughout the season.
Some main training focuses of this program will be:
Strong fundamental skiing and snowboarding techniques, reliable and precise landings, consistent rotation in skills, fluidity and speed on all areas of the mountain no matter the terrain or conditions, confidence in each athlete, pushing team members to ski to the best of their abilities.
This comprehensive approach ensures that our athletes are well-rounded, prepared for challenges, and equipped to excel in freeride competitions.
To be confirmed for the team, athletes must receive pre-approval from the Freeride Head Coach or attend team tryouts on December 20th. If the Head Coach determines the athlete is not the correct skill level, a full refund will be issued, and the athlete will be recommended to a different team.
